Show HN: ScreenDemos – A Firefox/Chrome screen recorder for product demos

I have been building a lot of side projects alongside my studies and I often found myself needing a quick way to record and share demos of my apps. After trying out some of the most popular screen recorders, I didn't find any that met my needs. I wanted a tool to quickly record high-quality product demos without downloading multiple pieces of software. So I decided to take on the challenge and build a simple yet powerful screen recorder extension that allows you to record directly from your browser. It has a few key features such as smooth animated cursor, zoom effects, shortcuts hints and much more that I plan to add.

It's my first time launching a product to production so any feedback is greatly appreciated! I have also created a spreadsheet where I compared my tool with popular screen recorders if you want to learn more: https://screendemos.com/comparison

Looks great! I'll try this at work. One concern I have about extensions is privacy. How is the video data processed? I see that Firefox is supported which is already a good point.

Thanks! Privacy is an important point for us and for now the video are all processed on your local machine from recording to downloading. In the future, we might implement some sharing and editing features but the user will always be able to choose what to process on the cloud.
