I've been using Cursor, Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Claude and what not since quite some time now, and we are at a stage where we can just "vibe code" whole apps from idea to execution in a few prompts.
I tried this personally to create some side projects that solved little problems for me. But I always got stuck at a point where it just goes into an infinite loop of issues and can't solve the issue by itself.
Well I'm a developer, so it's easier for me to dive into the code and solve the problem myself, but that would take a hell lot of time to understand all the code AI wrote for me. If I keep wanna "vibing", I would just give it the screenshot of my current webpage view along with the console logs, and even network requests if its connected to some APIs
But even this took quite some manual effort and time, so I decided to solve this problem for myself when I created Composer Web (https://github.com/saketsarin/composer-web)
It solves that problem seamlessly by sending all your logs, reqs, and screenshot of your webpage altogether directly to your cursor chat, in just one-click and LESS THAN A SECOND.
I made this open source and it kinda blew up. So I'm looking for people to help me maintain this and build it further for more use cases like iOS Simulator logs, AWS Cloud Console logs and even extend the support to other open source IDEs like Cline, Aider, etc.
I'm also open to any feedback and suggestions you have for me. So feel free to comment here, or ping me on the discord given on the github repo
Hope it makes your vibe coding flow even easier and hassle-free :D
> So I'm looking for people to help me...
If it really worked, why would you need people to help you?
thanks for your concern
i'm looking for people to support me building this for other "open-source IDEs" as i alone would not be able to do that, because it's totally free and open source and i want it to stay like that.
open source is built upon communities supporting each other and that is what i'm aiming for. hope you understand :)
> hope you understand :)
Nope, sorry, I really don't. Or rather, I guess it's you who doesn't understand:
> i'm looking for people to support me building this for other "open-source IDEs" as i alone would not be able to do that
But, hey, you have an "AI" to help you with that! That is, if your Composer Web were actually anything near "intelligent", you wouldn't need any people to help you. Since you do, it apparently isn't really "intelligent".
Maybe the reason you can't get people to help you with it is because everyone else is also as fed up with the constant hype of calling every even slightly complex algorithm "AI" as I am. Sorry about that. (And that the sarcasm in my first comment went over your head.)
Composer Web is an extension that helps you debug better, not build.
And it's not made with AI, but supports building with AI with simple features.
I never said it offers AI/complex algorithm solutions.
I understand your frustration with the current hype of AI wrappers, but I'm just helping out those people here brother.
Please don't judge blindly before actually trying something out. Or maybe it went over your head and you won't be able to understand that it's not at all what you're implying here.
btw it also support iOS simulator screenshots now, so you can build both websites and iOS applications way easier now!!
