Trump admin dismisses Endangered Species List as “Hotel California”

Reminds me of the heuristic some folks use around COVID vaccines. Dismiss their success in saving millions of lives... because they succeeded.

It's not a hotel it's a reservation. Where habitat destruction can move slowly enough that they fade from sufficient attention to obstruct profits.

The symbolic animal of America, the bald eagle, has its reservation, until we think of it as a cartoon of the past alongside Mickey Mouse.
